Floyd R. Kertscher, 80, of Campbellsport, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026.
He was born on June 11, 1945 in Newburg, a son of the late Melvin and Bernice (Stemper) Kertscher.
Floyd graduated from Random Lake High School in 1963.
On November 27, 1965, he married the love of his life, Helen Schladweiler at St. Michael Church in St. Michael. Floyd and Helen were deeply devoted to one another and their marriage for over 60 years.
He worked several jobs throughout his life, most recently for Jaegers.
Floyd enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, bowling, and the years he spent as a coach for the women’s baseball team in Kewaskum. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family, going out to eat and visiting with his loved ones.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Helen; sisters-in-law, Rita Kertscher, Joan Kertscher, Vicky Kertscher, Kay Schladweiler, Mary Vrana, JoAnne (Greg) Arndt, and Joyce Nelson; and brother-in-law, Jerome Jr. “Jerry” (Anita) Schladweiler; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Melvin and Bernice; parents-in-law, Jerome Sr. and Margaret Schladweiler; siblings, Melvin Jr. Kertscher, Ronald Kertscher, Lawrence Kertscher, Jean Mansfield, Joyce Haeuser, and Robert Kertscher; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Harold Schladweiler, Carol (Jerry) Vetter, Timothy “Butch” Vrana, and Gary Nelson.
Following Floyd’s wishes, private services will be held and he will be laid to rest at Fillmore Union Cemetery.
