Jean A. Krebs

   Jean A. Krebs, longtime resident of Campbellsport, died on September 17, 2025, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was 91 years old. Jean was born in Richmond, IN, to Anthony and Hilda (Maurer) Luerman.
   On August 22, 1953, she married Russell Krebs. They moved to Campbellsport in January of 1958.
   Over the years Jean was actively involved in both family and community life. She worked occasionally at Krebs Chiropractic office, volunteered at St. Matthew’s Catholic School as a teacher’s aide and worked with confirmands. Jean was also involved with the Girl Scouts, acting as an advisor to the Senior Troop and serving several years as cookie chairman. She drove for the Meals on Wheels program and also helped transport band students to practices. She was a member of the Campbellsport Women’s Club and the Christian Women.
   Jean is survived by her children, Valerie (Al) Floeter, Mary (Rod) Tinberg, Mike (Pam) Krebs, Ann (Joe) Byrne, Kathy (Brian) Gottlieb, Carol (Victor) Beecher and Dave (Melinda) Krebs. She is further survived by 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Coblentz; and sister-in-law, Pat Noack. Her husband Russ died in 2022.
   The family would like to thank Bonnie and Bill Schill for being wonderful, caring, and helpful neighbors. They would also like to thank the nurses and staff from SSM Health Hospice, especially Denise, Heather, Sarah, and Shiloh.
   Memorials should be directed to St. Matthew’s School in Campbellsport.
   Visitation was held Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Mass started at 11 a.m. Burial at the cemetery followed immediately after Mass.
