Kewaskum (6-4, 3-3) traveled to New Berlin’s Eisenhower (6-3, 2-2) to face the reigning 2025 Division 2 State Champions on April 25.
The Indians battled but lost a close game 10-7. Kewaskum struck first in the top of the first inning when Levi Whitfield singled and then scored on a Kingston Grisolono double. The Lions answered with one of their own, and then four more in the second inning.
The Indians got a pair of runs back in the 5th inning on a Grisolono RBI single, and he later scored on a dropped third strike to cut the deficit to 2.
Unfortunately for Kewaskum, Eisenhower scored 5 in the bottom of the 5th. The Indians responded with four in the 6th inning on a pair of RBI singles from Jace Wichtoski and Whitfield.
The other two runs came from a Grisolono sacrifice fly and a wild pitch. The Indians look to bounce back this week with a pair of games against Kettle Moraine Lutheran and a non-conference battle with Ripon on Friday.
