On January 3, Kewaskum boys basketball lost 69-45 to Lomira to kick off the 2025 part of their basketball season.
Kewaskum (3-6) was down 12-1 early to Lomira (7-0) before Zach Behn scored five straight points, highlighted by a drive through the entire Lions’ defense after collecting a defensive rebound, to make the score 12-6 in favor of Lomira.
The Indians got a fast-break layup from Anthony Coleman to put the score at 17-12 with the Lions in the lead with eight minutes on the first-half clock.
Kewaskum’s Behn had a nice post finish in the lane over the Lions’ shot-blocker, Broeske, Broeske to stop a 5-0 Lomira run which made the score 22-14.
The Indians got an offensive-rebound putback for two points from Behn to cut into the Lomira lead for a halftime score of 26-19 with the visiting Lions leading at the break.

second half after a Behn free throw with Lomira holding a 28-23 scoring edge over the Indians.
Lomira scored six straight points before Behn found Jackson Corbin with a pass for a basket for Kewaskum to bring the Lions’ lead under ten points with the score of 34-25.
The Lions went to score eight consecutive points before the Indians got an offensive rebound from Chase Cook and a Charlie Gambino three-pointer to close the gap to 42-30.
After a Behn layup to make the score 44-32, Lomira proceeded to go on another eight-point scoring run before Behn hit a pull-up three-pointer for the Indians to put the game score at 52-35 with the Lions holding the 17-point lead.
Kewaskum wasn’t able to get any closer in the non-conference matchup with Lomira pulling away with a 69-45 victory.
“We fought hard in the first half and competed against another very good basketball team,” said Head Coach Tyler Enright. “We are hoping to get healthy soon and we feel like we will be heading into the second half of our season feeling battle-tested.”
Zach Behn led Kewaskum with 24 points on the evening.
