Kewaskum boys’ basketball hosted Plymouth on January 20 in the Field House for a conference game. The Kewaskum Indians have an overall record of 4-10 and a conference record of 1-4. The Plymouth Panthers have an overall record of 8-6 and a conference record of 3-2.
Oliver Grover led the Indians with 14 points, shooting 6 of 11 from the field. Chase Cook followed with 13 points, scoring two three-pointers, while Eli Steinbauer added 12 points. The Indians were able to score on 12 of 14 free throws.
Plymouth shot 50 percent overall and connected on eight three-pointers, while also controlling the rebounding battle, 64-38, including 17 offensive rebounds.
Carter Unger and Marcus Fleischman led Kewaskum with nine rebounds each. Unger added four offensive rebounds and two blocks. Quin Dornacker, Unger, and Jackson Corbin each finished with two assists.
Kewaskum forced 14 turnovers but was unable to overcome Plymouth’s shooting efficiency and ended with a 58-80 loss.
Kewaskum’s record now sits at 4-11 overall and 1-5 in conference. They are currently ranked sixth in the Glacier Trails Conference. Their next game will be a non-conference away game against Kohler on Tuesday, January 27.
