The Kewaskum Boys Basketball team hosted West Bend East on March 3 for the first round of regionals. Kewaskum had the 7 seed in the 2B playoffs, and West Bend East had the 9 seed in the playoffs. Kewaskum Boys Basketball ended their season with a 6-18 overall record and a 6th place conference finish. West Bend East finished 7th in the Glacier Trials conference and ended with an overall record of 4-20.
The Kewaskum boys basketball team defeated West Bend East 72–61 after breaking a halftime tie. Both teams entered the locker room tied at 31, but Kewaskum pulled away in the second half by outscoring the Suns 41–30. Ollie Grover and Chase Cook led the Indians with 19 points each. Grover shot 7-for-10 from the field and added seven rebounds, while Cook connected on six three-pointers. Eli Steinbauer contributed 13 points and a team-high eight assists, and Quin Dornacker added six rebounds and five assists to help lead Kewaskum to the win.
Kewaskum then went on to face the Slinger Owls away on March 6 for the regional semi-final. Slinger had a 20-4 overall record and a 10-2 conference record. They placed 2nd in the North Shore Conference. Kewaskum and Slinger previously faced off for Kewaskum’s first game of the season on December 2, where they lost 33-71.
Slinger jumped out to an early lead, taking a 38–21 advantage into halftime, and matched Kewaskum 26–26 in the second half to secure the win. Marcus Fleischman led Kewaskum with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Eli Steinbauer added 10 points. Chase Cook contributed eight points, and Quin Dornacker recorded four assists and four rebounds in the loss.
Slinger went on to play Nicolet in the regional final, where they won 55-45 on March 7.
