The Kewaskum boys tennis team wrapped up a busy week with three dual meets, highlighted by a strong 5-2 victory over Roncalli/Manitowoc Lutheran.
Kewaskum opened the week with a hard-fought 4-3 loss to Kaukauna. Despite the close result, the Indians picked up three impressive singles victories. At No. 2 singles, Mathew Betz earned a straight-set win over Andrew DeCoster, 6-0, 7-6 (4). Domanic Survis added another point at No. 3 singles with a solid 6-2, 6-3 victory over Connor Bourassa. In doubles play, Bicknell and Korth played at No. 1 doubles, Essinger and Goetzinger competed at No. 2 doubles, and Pehowski and Stater played at No. 3 doubles.
Kewaskum bounced back in a big way the next day with a 5-2 win over Roncalli/Manitowoc Lutheran to improve to 3-7 on the season. The Indians controlled the lower singles and doubles flights to secure the victory. Donate earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles over Maksim Lara. Gerard continued his strong week with a 6-4, 5-7, 10-7 win at No. 3 singles. In doubles action, Kern and Survis teamed up for a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Stater and Pehowski closed out the meet with a 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
