Kewaskum Dominates Redwings 14-1

Posted

The Kewaskum Indians (3-0, 2-0) defeated the Sheboygan South Redwings (1-2, 0-2) 14-1 on April 10.
The Indians scored four runs in the top of the first, starting with a single by Liam Stoffel, and a run reached on an error by Levi Whitfield. After a two RBI triple by Kingston Grisolono, Landon Zak singled him in and eventually scored when Kyle Haim grounded into a fielder’s choice.
The Redwings answered in the bottom half of the first inning by using a walk and an error to get a runner to third base, and then their lone hit of the day drove in their only run. The 4-1 score remained until the Indians scored once in the fifth inning on a Haim RBI single and once in the sixth on another reached on error for Whitfield.
The bats exploded in the top of the seventh inning, scoring 8 runs on 5 hits (4 doubles) and capitalizing on 4 walks.
Offensively, the Indians were led by Brayden Loehr and Liam Stoffel, who both had a pair of hits and RBIs. On the mound, Kingston Grisolono (4IP), Landon Zak (2IP), and Marcus Perondi (1IP) combined to allow just one hit and fan 15 while walking just four.
