On Wednesday, April 9, the Kewaskum golf team competed in the first East Central Conference meet at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.
Kewaskum tied with Ripon for sixth place with 182 points.
“As a team, we have high expectations for this season. This was not the ideal start or the way we wanted to start,” said Head Coach Casey Scheel. “We have to understand the season is long, and we will continually work to get better and improve our scores. I know we can compete with the top teams in the conference; we just have to minimize the mistakes. Today, we had too many errors. Too many big scores on the card and not many pars. We have to clean that up, and we will be just fine as a team. We look forward to nicer weather and our games coming around.”
The team has a busy week, golfing on Tuesday, April 15; Wednesday, April 16; and Thursday, April 17.
