Kewaskum Indians dispatched Sheboygan South Redwings on April 7, 16-5 in 5 innings.
Kewaskum got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kingston Grisolono singled down the right field line, and Sheboygan South committed an error, each scoring one run.
The Redwings flipped the game around in the top of the second, scoring five runs on one hit and three errors to take the lead, 5-2.
The Indians were able to battle back from the three-run deficit, scoring two in the third inning, eight in the fourth, and four in the fifth to take the lead for good.
Landon Zak earned the win for Kewaskum. The righty surrendered two hits and five runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out nine and walking three. Heling took the loss for Sheboygan South. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up nine runs (seven earned) on five hits, striking out three and walking four. Landon Scheel pitched one inning of zero-run ball for Kewaskum in relief and allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none.
Kewaskum amassed 10 hits in the game. Grisolono (RBI), Kyle Haim (3RBI), and Levi Whitfield each collected two hits for Kewaskum, while Carter Unger (3RBI), Alex Jacobson (3RBI), and Cole Loser (2RBI) each hit a double for the Indians.
