On Tuesday, October 7, the Kewaskum girls’ volleyball team played Campbellsport at the Kewaskum Field House in a non-conference game.
Both teams entered the game with a streak of three losses. Last year, the Cougars lost against the Indians in three sets.
The Campbellsport girls were strong during the first set, and Kewaskum struggled with their serve receive during the first set. The Cougars won the first set 25-20. The Indians came back in the second set with a 25-20 win. The third set is where the Indians really started to find their groove. Both teams were very scrappy and showed a lot of hustle in the third set. Campbellsport ultimately lost the battle, sending over lots of free balls allowing Kewaskum to run a quick offense. Kewaskum built off their momentum on the fourth set and worked to run their offense. Campbellsport was not able to catch up and suffered from service errors resulting in a 25-12 loss.
The match ended with Kewaskum winning 3-1 over Campbellsport. This gives the Indians an overall record of 13-15 and Campbellsport a 15-15 overall record.
