Kewaskum Rides Early Surge Past Chilton for Eighth Straight Win

Kewaskum Baseball (16-6, 7-5) kept its momentum rolling on May 22, defeating Chilton (12-9) 6–1 to secure its eighth straight victory.
The Indians wasted no time getting the offense going, exploding for five runs in the first inning. Levi Whitfield started the rally with an RBI single down the left-field line, while Kingston Grisolono and Leo Gerhartz each delivered RBI doubles to center. Cole Loser added an RBI single, and another run came home on a double play to give Kewaskum an early commanding lead.
On the mound, Landon Zak turned in a strong performance, earning the win after allowing just one run on three hits across six innings. Zak struck out six while working around four walks. Landon Scheel closed the door with a dominant inning of relief, striking out all three batters he faced.
Grisolono led the middle of the order with two RBIs, while Whitfield and Liam Stoffel each collected two hits and helped spark the offense. The pair also caused problems on the bases, combining for multiple steals as Kewaskum swiped six bases overall.
The Indians were sharp defensively as well, turning two double plays to back their pitching staff.

The Kewaskum Indians (16-6, 7-5) extended their winning streak to seven games and secured sole possession of third place in the Glacier Trails Conference Thursday with a dominant 12-1 victory over Plymouth (7-14, 0-12), using a combination of timely hitting, patient at-bats, aggressive base running, and overpowering pitching.
Kewaskum wasted little time getting on the board, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Leo Gerhartz grounded out to score a run. The Indians then seized control in the second inning, plating five runs despite collecting just two hits. Liam Stoffel drew a bases-loaded walk, Levi Whitfield brought home a run on a fielder’s choice, Kingston Grisolono delivered the big blow with a two-run double, and a wild pitch capped the rally to put Kewaskum comfortably in front.
Grisolono shined both at the plate and on the mound. The left-hander earned the win after allowing just one hit and one run over 3 1/3 innings while striking out six. He also drove in a team-high three runs and finished 2-for-4 at the plate. Marcus Perondi was outstanding in relief, overpowering Plymouth hitters with seven strikeouts across 3 2/3 scoreless innings while surrendering only two hits and one walk.
Jace Wichtoski joined Grisolono with a pair of hits, while Stoffel helped set the tone offensively by drawing three walks as the Indians worked 11 free passes overall. Kewaskum also stayed aggressive on the basepaths, stealing four bases, including two by Wichtoski.
Defensively, the Indians backed up their pitching staff with a flawless performance in the field, committing no errors.
The win marked Kewaskum’s seventh straight victory as the Indians continue to gain momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
Vs. Plymouth
The Kewaskum Indians (15-6, 6-5) rolled past Plymouth (7-13, 0-11) 10-1 on Tuesday behind a big offensive night from Grisolono, who drove in four runs on two hits. Grisolono sparked the Indians early with an RBI triple to center field in the first inning before breaking the game open with a three-run homer to right field in the sixth.
Plymouth struck first in the top of the opening inning on a ground out by Monkoski, but Kewaskum answered immediately. Grisolono’s RBI triple tied the game before Gerhartz lined an RBI single down the right field line to give the Indians a 2-1 advantage after one inning.
The Indians put the game away in the sixth, erupting for five runs on three hits. Grisolono highlighted the inning with his three-run blast, while Unger added a two-run single to extend the lead.
Loser earned the win on the mound for Kewaskum, allowing one run on four hits over four innings while striking out four and walking two. Unger and Scheel tossed three scoreless innings in relief to preserve the victory. Krebsbach took the loss for Plymouth after allowing two runs on three hits across four innings.
Grisolono and Haim paced the Indians with two hits apiece. Kewaskum also showed patience at the plate, drawing nine walks (and getting hit three times) in the game. Stoffel and Loser each worked two walks, and the Indians added solid defense with a double play.
