Kewaskum Wrestling Wins Back-to-Back Conference Championships

After winning the regular, dual season in the East Central Conference, it made sense that Kewaskum wrestling earned the East Central Conference Championship title for the second year in a row, after winning the conference tournament in Winneconne on Friday, Feb. 7, with 215.5 points.
Kewaskum had four individual champions: Xane Kleinke (175), Bryston Scoles (150), Ethan Immel (138), Brayden Loehr (144).
Kleinke had a bye in the quarterfinals, pinned his opponent in 5:52 in the semifinals, and won by decision 10-7 in the first-place match.
Scoles received two byes before pinning his opponent in 1:09 in the first-place match.
Immel received a bye in the quarterfinals, pinned his opponent in 1:03 in the semifinals, and won by technical fall 19-3 in 4:29 in his first-place match.

Loehr received a bye in the quarterfinals, pinned his opponent in 5:44 in the semifinals, and won by technical fall 17-0 in 2:29 in his first-place match.
Kewaskum also had one female wrestler, Sybil Gadouas, place second after falling to her opponent in the first-place match. She won by a 6-4 decision over her opponent in the semifinal round.
This weekend, Kewaskum hosts the regional tournament on Saturday, Feb. 15, starting at 8 a.m.
