Larry Spoerl, 74 years young, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025.
Born on October 15, 1950, Larry lived a life marked by quiet strength, loyal service, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.
A proud graduate of Kewaskum High School, Larry went on to dedicate 37 years of his life to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, serving as a Jailer and Dispatcher. He was known for his calm demeanor, quick wit, and deep respect for the people he worked with and served. Larry’s legacy of service left a lasting impression on those around him and helped shape the department’s foundation of integrity and care.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary; and his children, Andrea, Ron, Christine, and Tim. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by his brother, Steve (the late Sue) Spoerl; sister-in-law, Joanne (the late Robert) Spoerl; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Viola Spoerl; his brother, Robert Spoerl; and his sister-in-law, Sue Spoerl.
