Olivia McCarty has been announced as Campbellsport High School’s Class of 2026 co-salutatorian.
McCarty attended Campbellsport Elementary, then Campbellsport Middle School, and later Campbellsport High School.
She is the daughter of Ben and Amber McCarty and has two younger siblings: Hudson McCarty (a Sophomore at CHS) and Marshall McCarty (a 6th grader at CMS).
During her time at Campbellsport High School, Olivia has participated in numerous extracurricular clubs and activities.
McCarty has found many successes in softball, earning MVP on JV her freshman year, MVP on Varsity her Junior year, Second Team-All Conference her junior year, and lettering all 4 years of high school.
She hopes to one day inspire other players by coaching and giving pitching lessons locally.
Olivia is involved in FFA, where she has taught younger students about agriculture through events like Food For America and Kindergarten Planting.
She is also a member of the National Honor Society and enjoys serving her community in various ways, including working with children at St. Matthew’s Daycare and Campbellsport Elementary.
In the fall, Olivia plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a major in Elementary and Special Education.
She would like to thank those who have helped her along the way, as well as the continued encouragement of her teachers, coaches, advisors, and family.
McCarty appreciates the families and students she has worked with in childcare throughout the years for the opportunity to confirm that teaching is her passion.
She is grateful for the many opportunities she has been given and could not have succeeded without the support of her community and her classmates.
Olivia thanks God for putting this calling into her heart and giving her the resources to continue and pursue her dreams.
